I am responsible and respectful,
I wonder how life started,
I hear bells ringing in the distance,
I see a mansion,
I want a bearded dragon,
I am responsible and respectful.
I pretend I am the first woman president,
I feel slimy things,
I tough flying horses,
I worry my dog will die,
I cry about being bullied,
I am responsible and respectful.
I understand reading,
I say demi-gods are real,
I dream cars will fly one day,
I try to make friends,
I hope people think I am a good friend,
I am responsible and respectful.

Where Have You Been
It has been almost 5 years since our last post. Graisyn has taken over the blog. She has her own YouTube channel and is eager to break into social media. Before she takes over, though, I thought we would post some recent photos.

How We Spent Friday Night
After a nice afternoon spent playing in the kiddie fountains at Desert Ridge, Graisyn informed me that she didn't "feel good." She was telling the truth as not ten minutes passed before she began throwing up. And throwing up and throwing up. I saw dinner come up in reverse. (The strawberry ice cream tinted everything beautifully.) She finally passed out in mommy and daddy's bed and I thought the worst had passed. She woke up three hours later and the vomiting began again...all over our bed, unfortunately. Not to be left out, Eliza woke up and decided to join the fun by throwing up all over her crib. At this point neither child's color looked particularly good, Grai was shaking and I was convinced that the water in the fountains was poisoned. So, we packed up both children and headed to our nearest ER -the one that advertises that "you will be seen by a doctor in 30 minutes." Their advertisement is true. You are seen quickly. Treating you takes forever. Our visit stretched over 5 hours. Grai was given IV fluids and antibiotics for a bladder infection. Eliza was also diagnosed with a UTI.
Everyone is now home. Graisyn has a wonderful story to tell this week at preschool and the antibotics only make Eliza throw up 50% of the time which is 150% less vomiting than Friday night so I am happy. Although, her pediatrican will be getting a call tomorrow requesting a new antibiotic.
Here is a picture of Eliza at the fountains before all heck broke loose. She is sitting really well and pushing herself up to all fours. Crawling can't be far away.

A conversation with Graisyn
The other night while I was assembling a light fixture, Graisyn joined me and immediately picked up a string of crystals intended to hang on the light. The following is our conversation from that night:
ME: Graisyn, please put down the light.
GRAISYN: Okay. (Puts down the light. Ten seconds pass. Picks up the light again.)
ME: Graisyn, please put down the light.
GRAISYN: Okay. (Puts down the light. Ten seconds pass. Picks up the light again.)
ME: Graisyn, please put down the light. (She puts it down again.) How many times do I have to ask you to do something before you do it.
GRAISYN: Three
Moral of the story, ask a stupid question, get a smartass answer.

Polish festival

This weekend we attended a local Polish festival. Not realizing what a large Polish population we have in Arizona, compliments of east coast and midwest migration, I was impressed by the size and scale of the event. Joe was impressed by the Polish beer. Eliza enjoyed her plate.

What three year olds like to do

Oh, my gosh, two posts in one day. Just when you think you have our blog all figured out, we hit you with double posts! Amazing! See our post below for our deepest apology for our tardiness. But, we have been very busy coloring eggs.
This Easter, Grai discovered a profound love of coloring easter eggs. Now, as any 3-year old knows, anything fun is worth doing 100 times. Or, in our case, 120 times. That's correct, she colored almost 10 dozen eggs (a few broke). See the happy girl?
The final products are above. Do not be fooled.
This was not all of the eggs. There were many, many more in bowls around the house. And, now, that the egg salad is eaten
and our hands are finally free of dye, we can look
forward to next year.

So sorry for the delay
We apologize for the delay in the blog. Joe thought I was blogging. However, I didn't know the password for our account because of my extreme ignorance of Italian philosophers whose names we could utilize. I blame the Wisconsin education system, personally. If our password was say, Leif Ericson, I might have stood a shot guessing. Problem now resolved, our blogging can continue....Since our last blog 2 MONTHS! ago (again, very sorry), Graisyn has lost in the glasses you saw in our previous blog. They were replaced with another pair - also pink, but with rhinestone hearts on them. It is such fun having a girl. They also came with their very own purse rather than a glass case because cool 3-year olds carry purses.
Eliza is growing like a weed. She can now roll over and we are working on sitting up. I would prefer the crawling and walking to be delayed though! She is a sweet, sweet baby. She has started eating solids. The picture above is from her first time eating in the high chair. Notice, her distinct lean to the right. She isn't quite ready for the big girl chair yet. She did chow down on rice cereal and sweet potatoes like a champ.
We will really try to keep this more up to date. Thanks for reading!
